Questions and answers
Short answers about DeskSpotter. Each one stands alone.
What is DeskSpotter?
A small round desk display that shows aircraft flying near you, live. It is hand-made in Canada by one maker.
How much does it cost?
CA$110 plus tax. No subscription, no account fee. Buyers in the United States pay in USD at the converted price shown at checkout.
Is it in stock?
If the catalogue at deskspotter.com shows it in stock, it ships. It is made in small batches, and each unit is built within about 5 business days.
What does shipping cost, and how long does it take?
Standard shipping is free in Canada and the United States. After the build, delivery takes 5 to 8 business days in Canada and 7 to 12 to the USA. For US orders, import duties are collected at checkout, so nothing more is owed on delivery. Outside Canada and the USA, shipping options and costs are shown at checkout.
How hard is setup?
A few minutes. Plug it in with USB-C, scan the QR code on the screen, and pick your Wi-Fi from your phone.
Do I need an antenna or an ADS-B receiver?
No. It reads community ADS-B networks over Wi-Fi. No antenna, receiver, or line of sight needed.
What do I need to use it?
USB-C power and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. A phone hotspot works too. After setup, the display runs on its own.
Is there a subscription?

What does it show?

If it arrives damaged or faulty, tell us within the same 14 days and we will repair, replace, or refund, with shipping covered.
