Reviews

What customers say

Before you order

Will it see planes where I live?

Yes, anywhere with Wi-Fi. DeskSpotter reads the same worldwide flight network as the big tracking apps, so it needs no antenna and no line of sight. Quiet rural sky? Widen the radar range up to 270 nautical miles.

Does it need a subscription?

No. There is no subscription, no account, and no API key. DeskSpotter reads public flight data over your Wi-Fi. You never have to register for anything.

Does it need an ADS-B receiver?

No separate receiver, antenna, or extra hardware. DeskSpotter reads public aircraft data over Wi-Fi.

What do I need to use it?

USB-C power and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Nearly every home router has it, and a phone hotspot works too. After setup, the display runs on its own.

What’s the warranty?

One year. If it fails, email us and we’ll repair or replace it.

How long until it’s on my desk?

Each unit is built within about 5 business days, then standard shipping takes 5–8 business days in Canada or 7–12 to the USA. Free shipping, both countries. Email confirmation when it ships.

Where does the flight data come from?

Community ADS-B networks, read over your Wi-Fi. No antenna or receiver of your own is needed. Support for use of personal antennas and receivers coming soon.

Does it need a laptop running?

No. Once configured, the device runs on its own. The dashboard can be accessed from any device and is mainly for setup and customization settings.
