DeskSpotter is a small round desk display that shows aircraft flying near you, live. It is hand-made in Canada. One product, one maker.

The price

CA$110 plus tax. There is no subscription and no account fee. Standard shipping is free in Canada and the United States. Buyers in the United States pay in USD at the converted price, and import duties are collected at checkout, so nothing more is owed on delivery.

Setup in one sentence

Plug it in with USB-C, scan the QR code on the screen, and pick your Wi-Fi from your phone. It takes a few minutes.

What you need, and what you do not

You need USB-C power (5 V / 1 A or better) and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. A phone hotspot works too. You do not need an ADS-B antenna, a receiver, line of sight to the sky, or an account. It reads community ADS-B networks over Wi-Fi.

What it shows

Four screens: a radar map with a sweeping scope and aircraft tags (range adjustable from 5 to 270 nautical miles), arrivals and departures for your home airport with the current METAR, a detail view for whatever is overhead (airline, altitude, speed, and where it is going), and a clock with local weather.

What makes it different

• Hand-made in Canada. Each unit is assembled, flashed, and bench-tested before it ships, in small batches.
• No subscription and no monthly fees.

Size and specs

1.85 inch round IPS display, 360 x 360 pixels, behind a 45 mm glass front. The enclosure is 3D printed matte PLA, 127 x 95 x 70 mm (5 x 3.75 x 2.75 in). USB-C cable included. No battery.

Warranty and returns

14-day returns. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, unused and in its original packaging. Email contact@deskspotter.com first, and return shipping is on you. If it arrives damaged or faulty, tell us within the same 14 days and we will repair, replace, or refund, with shipping covered. 1-year warranty from the day it is delivered: if it stops working in normal use, we repair or replace it, shipping included within Canada and the USA. Stock and delivery

If the catalogue shows it in stock, it ships. Each unit is built within about 5 business days. Standard shipping then takes 5 to 8 business days in Canada or 7 to 12 to the USA. Outside Canada and the USA, shipping options and costs are shown at checkout.
